ICCR Scholarship 2025/26 – Fully Funded Study in India

 

About the scholarship

The Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR) was established in 1950 by Maulana Abul Kalam Azad, who served as independent India’s first Education Minister. Its mission includes contributing to the development and execution of policies related to India's cultural relations with other nations, enhancing mutual understanding and cultural ties, facilitating cultural exchanges, and fostering international connections. Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR) Scholarship provides a fully funded opportunity to study at top Indian universities.

Scholarship Benefits:

·       Full tuition fees covered

·        Monthly stipend & accommodation(350$)

·       Medical insurance

·        Airfare (in some cases)

Eligibility & Selection Criteria:

·       Must be from an eligible country

·       Undergraduate: Completed 12 years of schooling

·       MBA: GMAT required

·       PhD: Submit a research proposal

·       Not available for MBBS, BDS, short-term courses, or private universities

·       Must be fluent in English (500-word essay required)

How to Apply:

1.     Apply online via A2A ICCR Portal: VISIT HERE TO APPLY

2.     Upload all required documents (translated into English)

3.     Choose up to 5 universities in order of preference

4.     PhD applicants must upload a research synopsis

5.     Performing arts students should submit video/audio links of their performances

Deadline: April 30, 2025

Important Rules

·       Only one application per student (multiple applications = disqualification)

·       Must have a valid passport

·       No part-time/full-time jobs allowed during the scholarship

·       Final selection is made by the Indian Mission in your country

Note : ICCR provides scholarships only for courses in Central or State Goverment Universities. Candidates should be very specific and clear about the course of study which he/she wishes to pursue in India. Scholarships are not available to pursue more than one course. Candidates should ensure that the courses opted are offered by the Universities selected under the dropdown menu given below. The candidates must refer to the University/Institute website to know the availability of course in that University and eligibility criteria for the courses of their choice.Those seeking admission to Ayurveda, Yoga, Unani, Siddha and Homoeopathy course must opt for AYUSH in the University choice.
